Letting Go
Lessons from the Tower Card
Life is change.
As much as we try to create stability {whatever that is} and crave certainty, life changes.
The more we resist the changes of life, the more the winds of change howl.
We resist change, not out of stubbornness, out of fear. We crave certainty because certainty is predictable and familiar and in that predictable, familiar certainty, we can feel safe.
But life is change so the certainty never lasts long.
Life is change.
Marie Kondo is a wealth of wisdom {if you haven’t watched Tidying Up on Netflix, you must, I implore} and I love employing her mandate of having gratitude and letting go.
We don’t need to let go without honouring the meaning that the shirt {or the relationship, or the job} held for us - we don’t need to pretend to not be affected. We can be affected.
So as life changes, learn to let go. Willingly. Without resistance.
Lean into the change life offers. Anticipate change.
When we can loosen our grip on life, we can learn to let go with ease. It doesn’t mean change is easy, but when we can loosen our palm, we can relax into the change. We don’t have to tense our way through change because that means we’re tensing our way through life.
Relax. Loosen your grip.
Life is change.
Let go.
